Medicinal uses and health benefits

Miracle leaf is a common name for a plant that has many medicinal uses and health benefits

1. Treats Kidney stones

Miracle leaf  (Bryophyllum pinnatum) plays a vital role in curing kidney stones.

Prepare a decoction of miracle leaf, add honey and Shilajit, and then consume the concoction afterwards.

2. Treat urinary issues

Miracle leaf is used to treat urinary issues. It can also treat skin swelling and wounds.

3. Headaches or migraines

can help those who suffer from headaches or migraines get rid of their symptoms. But, first, you must produce a paste by grinding some Bryophyllum pinnatum leaves, then apply it to your forehead.

4. Women’s discharge issues

Women’s discharge issues can be effectively treated with Bryophyllum pinnatum. It helps to lessen vaginal spotting. To ingest, prepare a decoction of the plant’s leaves with honey. This issue can be resolved by consuming it once or twice daily.

5. Bloody diarrhoea

Bloody diarrhoea can be effectively treated with Bryophyllum pinnatum. Combine cumin and ghee after extracting the juice from the Bryophyllum pinnatum leaves. It can be consumed to treat bloody diarrhoea.

  • Bloody diarrhoea: To treat bloody diarrhoea, squeeze out the juice from a sizeable amount of leaves (20 leaves), mix it with cumin seed and ghee, and let the patient take it twice a day. The quantity of blood will reduce and stop eventually after a few days.
  • Leukorrhea or vaginal discharge: To treat vaginal discharge or leucorrhea, squeeze out the juice from the leaves and give to the patient twice a day. Miracle leaf has antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties that would handle this condition in less than a week of regular administration.
  • Liver health: Miracle leaf has anti-hepatic properties that keep the liver in optimal condition. It cures jaundice fast and is beneficial in the treatment of hepatitis
  • Swelling: When a poultice of miracle leaf is applied to any swelling in the body, its anti-inflammatory properties will significantly reduce the swelling.
  • Cough: Boil the leaf in water and drink the miracle leaf tea morning and evening to cure your cough. If it persists, please see your doctor.

  • Nausea and vomiting: Some people may experience nausea and vomiting after consuming miracle leaf.
  • Allergic reactions: Some people may be allergic to miracle leaves and experience symptoms such as itching, hives, and swelling.

miracle leaf has a great ability to handle most common spiritual problems man is faced in life, In Ghana, Twi dialect,  the plant is called (Tameawu leaf) which means “if you hate me, die!”  in Nigeria, it is known as to the Yoruba dialect as “Odaa Opue” and the Igbo, “Ekpokpo”. Our ancestors have used this plant and now transferred it to us for medicinal and spiritual benefits, below are some of the numerous uses of the plant as regards the spiritual aspect of life.
